JOHOR BAHRU (Sin Chew Daily) — The working committee of the 7th edition of Sin Chew Business Excellence Awards recently held its first nationwide roadshow at GBW Hotel in Johor Bahru.
The event successfully drew a large crowd of representatives from local SMEs as well as civil organizations.
Sin Chew Business Excellence Awards is jointly organized by Sin Chew Daily and Sinchew.com.my.
Among the partners of this event are Fine Paper Takeo Sdn Bhd, Skynet Worldwide (M) Sdn Bhd and Setia City Convention Center.
Grant Thornton Malaysia is the independent auditor of the event.
During the roadshow, the event’s regional strategic partner Tey Kim Chai pointed out that Sin Chew Business Excellence Awards had been offering an excellent platform of learning for Johor Bahru businesses, in particular young entrepreneurs.
He said participants would not only have the opportunity to interact with other participating businessmen but also benefit from the guidance of professionals.
Tey reminded local entrepreneurs to keep learning in order to expand their businesses in addition to focusing on team-building.
He also urged the government to provide a better platform for local businesses to exert their potentials.
Sin Chew Business Excellence Awards organizing committee chairman Lenny Chiah explained to the audience the various award categories as well as eligibility for participation, while Grant Thornton Malaysia senior partner Desmond Tan elaborated on the evaluation criteria and application procedures.
