KUALA LUMPUR: Former Umno supreme council member Datuk Zahidi Zainul Abidin confirmed that he would join Parti Keadilan Rakyat, and he expected many Umno leaders to quit the party after the sacking of several heavyweight leaders last week.

The former deputy communications and multimedia minister told Sinar Harian he would submit his application form to join PKR this Saturday (February 4).

He also said about 100 members from the Padang Besar division would follow him to join PKR.
