TSH hands over masks donated by China organizations to PDRM

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 1 (Sin Chew Daily) — Tung Shin Hospital shares the 300,000 pieces of face masks donated by two China-based foundations with the police to help lower infection risks.

Tung Shin Hospital chairman Tan Sri Khoo Chai Kaa hands over the face masks contributed by The China Culture Foundation and Yan Ran Foundation to Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani at Bukit Aman police headquarters.

In a statement, Tung Shin Hospital said the hospital decided to share the face masks contributed by The China Culture Foundation and Yan Ran Foundation last month to the police who are the frontliners in the country’s battle against the virus.

Khoo expressed his gratitude to the police for their hard work during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The people of both China and Malaysia are working together to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. We hope we can help and support those affected by the pandemic.

“That is why the two foundations have contributed the face masks to Tung Shin HospitalTung Shin Hospital and the police,” said the statement.

Two China-based foundations donated a total of 1.34 million pieces of face mask to Tung Shin Hospital last month.

Khoo said the hospital currently had enough face masks and would be donating face masks to other charitable organizations and the needy.

Tung Shin Hospital is a non-profit hospital set up in 1881 to provide medical services at affordable costs.
